: Mayor Antonia Ricigliano and the Edison Council are pleased to present the Townships most popular event, The 2011 Fall Family Spectacular scheduled for Saturday, September 10th from 10:30 a.m. 10:00 p.m.

Planned events for this years Festival include well known recording artists offering music to suit all tastes, classic cars & motorcycles show, strolling performers, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, games of chance, dance groups, athletic contests, and much, much more. Our two Main Stages and Local Stage will offer great entertainment constantly throughout the day. Of course, the carnival rides, professional wrestling and fireworks grand finale will be the main focus for the event. New this year will be the BMX Thrill Show Hell On Wheels performing three times during the event.

Opening Ceremonies will kick off the Festival at 10:30 a.m. with former Edison resident and Broadway actor/singer Sy Adamowski. Sy will be joined by Edison Mayor Antonia Ricigliano and one of the high school marching bands and invited guests.

Starting promptly at 11:00 a.m., celebrants will be entertained by a variety of groups, acts and special attractions, tempted to an array of foods from around the world; and treated to an assortment of craft vendors and exhibitors that will please and interest everyone.

The two main stages at the daylong Festival will begin with a trio of Edison based entertainers. The band Audio Insight will rock the stage at 11:00 a.m. followed by Farrington Sound at 12:15 p.m. and Ken Darcy at 1:30 p.m.

The high energy, high entertaining Ron Gartner will bring you to your feet with memories of American Bandstand, Motown, and the Rat Pack, in this fantastic Vegas style show at 2:45 p.m.

The Out Of The Box Band hits the stage at 4:15 p.m. This original Jersey band blends classic rock with modern flare and a pop edge. Out Of The Box just released their first full length album this past July.

Starting the evening portion of the Festival at 5:15 p.m., the Hit Men, all Jersey guys will relive the past while you have a blast. These former members of The Four Seasons and Tommy James and the Shondells will have you singing and dancing to all those classic rock and roll songs of the 60s and 70s. Be prepared to have a great time.

Closing out the musical talent at 7:30 p.m. the festival welcomes back a good friend of Edison with a classic Jersey Shore rock sound, NJ legend, John Eddie. John and his band will rock the night with all his hits as his large faithful following of fans have a great time with a great band.

Immediately following JE, International Fireworks will light up Lake Papaianni with a spectacular aerial display that will highlight the Festival and thrill the expected thousands in attendance.

The Recreation Department welcomes all types of food vendors, craft vendors, exhibitors and performers for the upcoming event.

National Wrestling Superstars to Highlight Event

WWE Champion and Hall of Fame Legend, KoKo B. Ware will headline a full card of bouts at the upcoming Fall Family Spectacular in Edison on September 10, 2011.

The National Wrestling Superstars will once again be part of Edisons 19th Annual event to be held at Papaianni Park, located on Municipal Boulevard off of Route #27.

This free event, sponsored by Edison Recreation, will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10th. Besides KoKo B. Ware, ECW star the Zombie, and the NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion Nicky Oceans, will be on hand throughout the day. The wrestlers will be available for autographs and photos throughout the event. Seats are limited, so come early and stay late.

Fall Family Spectacular Car & Bike Show Sign-Ups

The Car and Bike Show will run from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Papaianni Park in Edison. The event is free but you must pre-register.
