As pioneers of contemporary American cuisine in New Jersey, Betsy Alger and Jim Black opened The Frog and The Peach in 1983 with a dual mission: to elevate contemporary fine dining in New Jersey and to be a part of a successful renaissance of downtown New Brunswick.
Clearly they were successful on both counts!
Moving forward, it will be longtime Executive Chef Bruce Lefebvres responsibility to bring that creative sensibility and flair for reinvention into the future. In April, 2012 he purchased The Frog and The Peach from Jim and Betsy.
The cuisine will remain Inspired Modern American with an international spin. General Manager and Sommelier Jim Mullens award winning wine list will still offer fantastic wines at a value. And The Frog will continue to provide authentic, warm, and informed service.
The Frog and The Peach occupies an historic industrial building, renovated to create a multi-level upscale American Restaurant. Among the restaurants added highlights are an invitingly stylish cocktail and wine bar, dramatic patio dining and Assistant Manager Jack Tagmoutis professional, personal services for your private parties and corporate event planning.
The Frog and The Peach has received accolades throughout its history, most recently a three and a half star review in New Jersey Monthly Magazine, as well Critics Choice for Top 25". Our guests also agree, awarding the restaurant a 26 rating for food and a 24 rating for service in the most recent Zagat Survey. In the New Jersey Monthlys Readers Poll, The Frog has consistantly garnered top awards: Best of The Best, Best Upscale Dining, Best American, Best Lunch, and Most Romantic. Since it's inception, we've received Open Table's Diner's Coice Award each year.

Enjoy our new spring menu!
At dinner, sample our signature a la carte offerings from the critically-acclaimed dinner menu that changes regularly to reflect the season and to incorporate fresh local ingredients.

In addition to our regular a la carte offerings, we always offer several Prix Fixe Menus. Offered everyday from 5:30-6:15 (4:30-5:15 Sundays) is our Pre-Theatre Menu, perfect for people on the run! Also offered everynight are our 4 Course Vegetarian Tasting Menu and our 5 Course Tasting Menu, which changes seasonally.

This restaurant is pretty pricey, but the food is EXCELLENT and well worth it. It's a little hard to find, but I have come more than once for special occasions. I recommend the duck! The service is also very pleasant.

Food was excellent. Lamb shank was more than I needed to eat, but too good to not finish. Rolls were fresh made, really hot and sooooo good. Service was top notch and professional. Valet parking was availabe ($8) but at 17 degrees well worth it.
