We have been to La Tavola Cucina twice now. I lived in northern Italy and maintain high standards for my Italian food. Each meal we have had has been great. Meat entrees have been perfectly cooked as well as pastas. Servings were generous but not humongous. Salads are fresh and colorful. The restaurant was accomodating both times to my vegetarian guest as well. Service was attentive too...no one hovering but they were there to refill wine or water as needed. The various courses were timed properly too. A nice night out for a date or a family. They really seem very accomodating. We plan on going back again.

Diner was very good. The calamari in the white wine appy was excellent. Small salad was a perfect size, penne with spinach and shrimp was very, our server was very pleasant.

The service was great and the staff was nice. The crab chowder had asparagus and string beans in it which was odd but decent. The pasta dish was a very small portion and I was still hungry afterwards. My wife had the fish and she enjoyed it. The glass of wine we had looked like a short pour. A little pricey for South River with small portions but very nice there as well.
