Click here to vote Here is their story We were high school sweethearts. Even though we didn't stay together after school, I always loved him. 19 years later, he came looking for me. It was like no time had passed... we fell in love all over again. A few years later, I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. I was very sick for 2 years, and went through numerous surgeries and chemotherapy. He was there with me, through it all. And shortly after my chemotherapy ended, he proposed to me and my bald head. When I got the news that the cancer was gone, we celebrated by spending a week at Couples Swept Away. It was the most beautiful place we had ever been. I was feeling very nervous about how I looked. My hair was just starting to grow in, and my body had changed from all of the surgeries, but, he told me how beautiful I was. That was 4 years ago. We were married 2 years later, and wanted desperately to return to Couples Swept Away for our honeymoon, but, the remaining medical bills were large and looming, and finances did not allow it. This place is more than just a beautiful location to us... it's the reminder of a celebration of being alive... and of our beautiful life together.
