10/10/2011 - Organizations needed for Christmas Tree Lighting in New Brunswick
For many of you it’s early, but for City Market the Holidays are upon us and on Friday, December 2, 2011 downtown New Brunswick will Kick-off its annual Winter Festivities with the 19th Annual Tree Lighting at Monument Square from 5-7 p.m. This is an evening celebration filled with excitement for all those who attend. The program begins with the 4th annual chili cook-off competition between several of the downtown restaurants, live music, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, free horse-drawn carriage rides and food drive, just to name a few.
City Market is looking to our cultural organizations and local non-profits to be a part of the evening festivities. By securing a table at the event you can promote your organization with information, and activity, or as a fundraiser selling goods or merchandise to benefit your agency. As a participant you will be exposed to the hundreds of people that attend the event. There is no cost to participate, but participation is limited and registration is required. As a participant you will be listed on our website as part of the Holiday Happenings Calendar. The event will be publicized through radio, newspaper advertising, and distributed to over 5,000 people via our E-Newsletter along with promotion on City Market’s social media outreach (facebook, twitter, blog)
In addition to the holiday tree lighting event we invite you to participate at our Free Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride locations to provide samplings of hot cocoa, cider, baked goods or other items to create a welcoming atmosphere for the visitors while promoting your organization.
